Part-Time Math & Science Tutor
Location: In-Person (North Surrey Office, BC)
Position Type: Part-Time
Subjects: Math 7 -12 & at least One Science Subject (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology)

Are you passionate about teaching and helping students succeed? We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable tutor to join our team to deliver high-quality instruction in Math and one Science subject under the BC curriculum.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

-Teach one-on-one and small group sessions (Grades 7–12, 3–4 students)

-Follow the BC Curriculum and use our exclusive Math & Science materials to support each student’s learning, ensuring improved academic performance reflected in their school grades

-Assess student learning and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

-Create a supportive and engaging learning environment

-Write thoughtful and caring progress notes for each student after every session

-Communicate and collaborate regularly with the iSmart team

-Promote our math programs using social media platforms such as Xiaohongshu (Red Note)

Requirements:

-Strong academic background (90% +) in Math and at least one Science subject (Physics, Chemistry, or Biology)

-Completion of the BC high school curriculum

-Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly preferred

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Reliable and responsible, with good patience to students at different levels

Work Hours:

-Flexible part-time hours

-Most shift take place on weekday evenings (after 3:30 pm) and weekends (10:00am–3:30 pm)

-Must be available to come on-site for at least 4 hours per week
