Warehouse Freezer Assembler (Afternoon)

Position Summary:

As a Warehouse Freezer Assembler, you will be a key player in our Burnaby distribution center. Your primary focus will be the accurate picking, assembly, and preparation of frozen products for outbound delivery. This role goes beyond simple order fulfillment; you will be responsible for maintaining the health of our freezer inventory through expert material handling and the operation of power equipment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a hands-on, high-energy workday. While we appreciate experience in cold storage, we prioritize a “can-do” attitude and a commitment to safety.

Working Hours:

• Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM (any 8-hour shifts)
• Availability for occasional Saturday shifts required

Key Responsibilities:

As a core member of our warehouse team, you will ensure the accurate and timely flow of goods through our freezer department. Your daily tasks will include:

• Order Selection: Accurately picking and packing orders from freezer storage based on packing slips and SOPs.
• Palletization: Utilizing forklifts and pallet jacks to build, wrap, and secure orders for shipment.
• Inventory Management: Assisting with receiving, stock replenishment, and unloading trailers to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Cross-Functional Support: Lending a hand in shipping, freight, returns, and Customer Pick-Up departments as needed.
• Facility Care: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe workspace within the freezer and general warehouse areas in compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
• Teamwork: A “team-first” attitude with the ability to work independently when required.
• Safety First: Commitment to following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.

Assets/ Nice-to-Haves:

• Previous experience in cold storage or freezer environments.
• Certification or experience with Forklifts/Reach Trucks.
• Multilingualism: Abilities in Cantonese or Mandarin are considered an asset to support team communication in our diverse workplace; however, this is not a requirement and will not impact hiring decisions.

Working Conditions:

• This is a full-time, onsite role based in a warehouse environment.
• Environment: Regular work inside a cold storage/freezer environment (protective gear provided).
• Physical Demands: This role is physically active. You must be able to stand for long periods, bend, and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs (23 kg).

Compensation & Benefits:

• Expected Gross Hourly Wage: $18.14 to $23.79
• Freezer Premium:An additional $3 per hour will be paid for hours worked in designated freezer environments, in accordance with company policy.
