We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and communication skills to fill the role of bookkeeper for our growing accounting firm. The position entails bookkeeping and general office related duties. The ideal candidate for this position is a skilled multi-tasker, reliable, and committed to consistently meeting deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Full-cycle accounting using QBO.
- Communication with clients and employees.
- Ongoing, regular preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Prepare GST, PST and WCB reporting and remittances.
- Regular account reconciliation and financial reporting.
- Process payroll, ROEs, T4s and source deductions.
- Process invoices and cheques.
- Prepare personal tax returns.
- Manage office in general including mail, filing and other office duties.
Key qualifications and competencies:
• An accounting degree or diploma
• A minimum of 1 year experience working in Accounting in public practice environment
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Sage 50 software
• Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
• Exceptional communication skills both written and oral
• Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
